Welcome to the Reawakening Center

Depression affects your emotional and physical well-being. It makes you feel alone, hopeless and unable to handle day-to-day life. It can affect the way you sleep and eat, and slow down recovery from illness.

When depression strikes, it's not always easy to know what to do. Only about half of the millions of Americans who are affected by depression each year even seek help. And those who do seek help may find it difficult to find the right treatment.

To help people with depression, their family members and friends, Aetna Behavioral Health offers the Reawakening Center, a new and unusual Internet resource.

The Reawakening Center can help you:

  • learn more about yourself
  • explore alternative, more helpful ways of thinking
  • find out about depression
  • gain helpful advice for finding treatment
  • overcome barriers to successful therapy.
The Self-Test

To get started, take the depression screening questionnaire. By answering nine simple multiple-choice questions, you can see whether you might be depressed.

It only takes a couple of minutes.

You can come back to the Reawakening Center from time to time and retake the depression screen. This will help you reassess your feelings and mark your improvements.
